21 Days of Prayer-3.png

Every September, we set aside 21 days to intentionally seek God in prayer, believing for Him to move in powerful ways. We would love for you to take part in 21 Days of Prayer.

Day 1

SURRENDER

  • “He must become greater, and I must become less and less”.  John 3:30 (NLT)

PRAYER:

God, as I prioritize prayer over these next 21 days, I do so from a place of surrender.  In this moment, I surrender my plans, my ambitions, my ways, and I ask that Your will be done in my life.  I am making more room for You to move, to speak, to heal, to reveal, and to have Your way.  I pray there would be more of You, and less of me.  As I draw near to you, help me grow in my faith, and experience You like never before.  I am expectant for all You will do.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Day 2

FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS

  • You can develop a healthy, robust community that lives right with God and enjoy its results only if you do the hard work of getting along with each other, treating each other with dignity and honor.  James 3:18 (MSG)

PRAYER:

Lord, I come to You asking for You to bring supernatural health in every one of my family relationships.  I know that there is hard work involved in truly getting along with each other, and I am willing to put myself aside and walk in love, grace, forgiveness and selflessness.  May I see those in my family as you do, believing the very best in others.  Help me to honor my family both in words and actions.  Bring restoration and healing  where it’s needed. For those in my family who don’t know You, I ask that You meet them where they are and guide their hearts toward you. Help us to let go of things that don’t matter, and embrace the things that truly do.  Thank you for leading me and guiding me as I entrust my family to you.  I am believing the best is yet to come for my family.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day 3

ALL WILL KNOW JESUS

  • “For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.”
    Luke 19:10 (NLT)

PRAYER:

Lord, I know Your heart is for no one to be lost without you.  Today I pray for those who need to come to know You, and ask that You would continue to draw them to You through Your loving kindness as your word says.  Would you keep pursuing them?  Use me as an extension of your love as I witness to my sisters and brothers in Christ.  I pray they would have a spiritual awakening and thirst for You.  Open their ears to hear Your voice.  I am thankful You are a God of transformation and You change lives.   In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Day 4

GOVERNMENT

  • I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people.  Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.  Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.  This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. I Timothy 2:1-4 (NLT)

PRAYER:

God, today I pray for our government.  I pray blessings on their households and families.  I pray for those in authority to surrender to You.  I ask you  to lead and guide them.  I pray you would give them wisdom to lead.  I pray for peace and healing to flood our nation, and that truth would prevail.  Move in ways that are beyond what we could ask for, dream of, or imagine because that is the kind of God you are.  Work all things together for good for those who love you.  I pray those in authority will surrender to You, and Your name will become known.   Do a supernatural work in our nation as we become desperate for more of You.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Day 5

HEALING

  • Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.  He forgives all of my sins and heals all my diseases. Psalms 103:2-3 (NLT)

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus asking for healing for your people..  My hope is in you as a healer.  Your word says You are the God who heals.  Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross so that we can receive healing.  I believe that you are a miracle working God.  Thank you that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in me.  I stand in faith believing for healing for ( ________ name yourself or someone who needs healing). Nothing is impossible for You.  You are Jehovah Rapha. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day 6

MIND OF CHRIST

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Philippians 2:5 (NIV)

PRAYER:

Dear God, I declare today I have the mind of Christ.  My thoughts are shaped by Jesus Christ.  My thoughts are full of heavenly realities.  Because I have Your mind, invade my thoughts today.  Continue to remind me who I am in You.  I thank You that my reality is not shaped by what is logical or my feelings, but by Your truth and what You have declared over my life in Your Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day 7

POWER OVER THE ENEMY

  • For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 (NLT)

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I recognize there is a real enemy at work in this world.  Give me wisdom to discern the work of the enemy around me, and to oppose his schemes and plans.  I do not live in fear, but choose to live in faith.  Just as Jesus defeated the enemy through the work of the cross, I also claim victory in my life.  You have equipped me with the armor of God and the power of Your Word.  Therefore, I will meditate on Your Word.  I will walk in truth.  Allow Your peace to be my guard and guide as I hold my shield of faith.  Thank you for Your protection.  Thank you for  always being faithful and making a way for me to be victorious.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day 8

THE CHURCH

  • Every believer was faithfully devoted to following the teachings of the apostles.  Their hearts were mutually linked to one another, sharing communion and coming together regularly for prayer.  A deep sense of holy awe swept over everyone, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders.  All the believers were in fellowship as one body, and they shared with one another whatever they had.  Acts 2:42-44 (TPT)

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I ask that You watch over Your church.  Give pastors wisdom and vision and instill shepherd hearts in them.  Lead them as they walk with You, and give them capacity to showcase Your love, mercy and forgiveness.   Bless the groups and bless everyone who steps foot onto the campuses.  Bring the lost into the church, and bless them to have a positive experience and come to know You.  Keep the vision rooted in who You are and moving toward your goals.   I pray that You give the church fresh revelation from Your Word.  Jesus, build us, strengthen us, unite us, and grow our faith.  Teach us how to worship You in spirit and in truth.  I pray for strong churches with a bold commitment to the Great Commission.

Day 9

PROVISION

  • “And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 (AMP)

PRAYER:

Lord, I thank You for being my source.  Your word says You withhold no good thing, so I thank you for Your goodness to me.  Even before I ask, You know my needs. You said the things that I desire in accordance with Your will, will be given to me if I ask You.  Because I trust in You, I ask you now to meet my needs.  As I choose right-living, I know my life will flourish.  Thank You that no matter what surrounds or overwhelms me, I can lean into Your provision.  You are the God of more than enough.  Thank you.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Day 10

HOPE

  • We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go.  It’s an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearance right to the very presence of God.” Hebrews 6:18 (MSG)

PRAYER:

Dear God, I am so grateful for Your unfailing and unchanging character.  Trustworthy and faithful - that is who You are.  I thank You that I can trust in Your promises and can dwell in Your presence.  I place all my burdens at Your feet.  Thank you for turning everything around for my good.  As disappointment and discouragement tempt me, may I let hope anchor me.  Holy Spirit, remind me that Hope is always steadfast in You.  I choose to hold onto the hope You give me today and never let go.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Day 11

BREAKTHROUGH

  • “For I am about to do something new.  See, I have already begun!  Do you not see it?  I will make a pathway through the wilderness.  I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 (NLT)

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I am believing for breakthroughs in __________ (be specific where you need a breakthrough).  I am believing what Your Word says:  You ARE about to do something new and You WILL make a pathway through hardship.  I declare You have a plan to prosper me, and what the enemy meant for evil, You will turn around for my good.  Give me vision for what is ahead and hope for the future.  I know You are a miracle working God and nothing is impossible for You.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Day 12

FORGIVENESS

  • Forgive us the wrongs we have done as we ourselves release forgiveness to those who have wronged us. Matthew 6:12 (TPT)

PRAYER:

God, thank you so much for offering me the gift of forgiveness.  Show me any areas in my life that I need to bring before You in order to receive forgiveness and healing.  Thank you for showing me unfailing grace.  As You have freely forgiven me, I also want to freely forgive others.  Help me to let go of all offenses.  I release to You those who have hurt me, and I trust You to handle those situations according to your perfect will.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Day 13

UNITY

  • “And I ask not only for these disciples, but also for those who will one day believe in me through their message.  I pray for them all to be joined together as one even as you and I, Father, are joined together as one.  I pray for them to become one with us that the world will recognize that you sent me.”
    John 17:20, 21 (TPT)

PRAYER:

Dear God, we come before You as a community united in your name.  You have called us to be one body with Christ as our head.  Help us to live out this unity in our relationships with one another.  Forgive us for the times when we let division and discord creep into our lives.  Give us hearts that are quick to forgive and eager to reconcile.  Help us to remember that our differences are what makes us unique and beautiful, and we are to embrace them with love and understanding.  Give us the wisdom to know how to communicate effectively, especially when we disagree.  Teach us to love one another just as You have loved us.  May our unity bring glory to Your name and be a testimony of Your love to the world.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day 14

REVIVAL AND RENEWAL

  • “I will pour out my Spirit on all people…and everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  Joel 28-29

PRAYER:

God, I ask that You pour out Your Spirit upon us and bring revival in our hearts.  Let us not become complacent and numb to the things of You.  Renew our passion for You.  We call on Your name and ask for Your Spirit to move in our lives and in the church.  We pray for a revival that will spread throughout our community and beyond,  a revival that will bring healing, restoration, and salvation to those who are lost.  Help us to be bold witnesses of Your love and grace, sharing the Good News with those around us.  Renew our minds and transform us to be more like Your Son, Jesus Christ.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Day 15

SPIRITUAL GROWTH

  • “Apart from me, you can do nothing.”  John 15:5 (NLT)

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, Your Word says “I am the vine; you are the branches.”   In you is found all spiritual life and growth.  I pray that You would prune and cultivate me, so that I may bear much fruit for Your kingdom.  Teach me to abide in You, to remain connected to You through prayer, worship, and studying Your Word.  Help me to surrender my wills and desires to Yours, seeking Your guidance and direction in all things.  I  acknowledge my need for You and ask that You would fill me with Your Holy Spirit, empowering me on this faith journey daily.  I pray for a hunger and thirst for righteousness, a desire to know You more deeply, and to grow in my relationship with You.  I trust in Your promise that, “God, who began the good work within me, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.  Philippians 1:6 (NLT)   In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Day 16

GIVING

  • “Remember this:  Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.  Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”   II Corinthians 9:6-7 (NIV)

PRAYER:

God, grant me the capacity to give as a heartfelt act of worship and devotion to you.   Let my giving show  Your love, Your generosity and Your faithfulness.  I recognize giving is sacrificial generosity, and the more I give I imitate the ultimate example of generosity; Jesus giving His life for my sins.  Help me to be a good steward over all that You bless me with.  As I give my tithes and offerings, I pray that you will transform my heart to be more like yours, and help me to align my life more closely with Your divine plan.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Day 17

GOD’S FAITHFULNESS

  • Do not yield to fear, for I am always near.  Never turn your gaze from me, for I am your faithful God.  I will infuse you with my strength and help you in every situation.  I will hold you firmly with my victorious right hand.  Isaiah 41:10 (TPT)

PRAYER:

God, You have shown yourself faithful all throughout scripture.  Thank you for being faithful in our life as well.   Forgive us for all those times we have doubted you in the past and at times, taken things into our own hands, and not trusting you with our situation.  I know you love us and want the best for us.  Your love for us is immeasurable and unconditional.  The things that happen in our life, even if it’s painful at times, You remind us that You work all things out for good for those who love you.  Help us to never forget all the things you’ve done in our life.  To never forget that you sent your Son to die a brutal death on the cross because you love us.  To never forget all the answered prayers and comfort you have provided over the years.  To never forget that you are God, our Heavenly Father.  We trust you today because You are faithful.  We love You and we remember.   In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Day 18

PURPOSE

  • For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”  Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, thank you for creating me on purpose and for a purpose.  As I discover all You have for my life, help me live with intentionality each day.  I want to be used by You and put the gifts you’ve given me into action.  Show me even more ways to make Your name known to others.  Increase my awareness of everyday opportunities where I can live out my specific purpose.  Thank you for using me to make a difference.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Day 19

FRESH STRENGTH

  • Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.  But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.  They will soar high on wings like eagles.  They will run and not grow weary.  They will walk and not faint.  Isaiah 40:30, 31 (NLT)

PRAYER:

God, thank you that I can simply be in Your presence and wait on you.  Waiting on you and being in your presence gives me fresh strength.  In your presence is fullness of joy.  You know my thoughts and every scenario of my life.  You understand what I am going through without me having to say one word to you.  Thank you for renewing my  strength today, strength that only comes from you.  Help me to run and not get tired today.  Help me to walk and not fall behind.  Strengthen me in my inner being.  Strengthen me physically.  Strengthen me emotionally.  Strengthen me mentally.  As I wait on You, I have patient and confident trust in You.  Thank you for renewing my strength and causing these moments to change my whole day.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Day 20

GUIDANCE

  • Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths.  Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
    Ps 25:4-5 (NIV)

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I ask that you guide me through my day today.  My heart is open to your will.  Make me sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit as I am led on my path of purpose.  I trust you. You are my shepherd.  As it states in Psalm 23:2-3 (TPT) His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss.  That’s where he restores and revives my life.  He opens before me the right path and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness so I can bring honor to his name.  Thank you for your counsel, your wisdom and your love.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Day 21

PEACE

  • I am leaving you with a gift - peace of mind and heart.  And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give.  So don’t be troubled or afraid.  John 14:27 (NLT)

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, today I acknowledge Your presence and  embrace Your gift of peace.  Help me to recognize ways I try to find peace outside of You.  I long for Your calming presence to fill my heart and give me inner peace.  There is no substitute for the lasting peace I find only in You.  Thank you for a peace that passes human understanding for you are the source of true peace.   I praise you for Your supernatural peace and I receive it even now.  I pray your peace would guard my heart and my mind.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
